Location, location, location.
One big question for every production is “where are we going to shoot?” In a studio? Does it require a green screen? How large of a space is needed? Or will it be in a fabulous kitchen like several productions the dvi group just completed for Calphalon.
To get the right look, we have to decide on important details such as the color of the cabinets, what kind of countertops, and the style of the kitchen. Is the kitchen large enough to accommodate all the lights, production equipment, etc.? Is there enough power for our equipment, or do we need to bring in a generator?
One other small, but important factor: Is it near a great eating establishment where we can get take out to feed the crew? (Did I hear someone say Korean tacos?) I am happy to say that we successfully selected five very distinct, but perfectly matched kitchens for the various cookware products being showcased! Take a look at our videos for the Calphalon Convection Oven, Cooking with Calphalon Stainless Steel, and Simply Calphalon Nonstick to see what we came up with for one client.
