The DVI Group is incredibly excited to welcome aboard our new Vice President of Sales and Business Development, Kevin Ford! Kevin brings more than 20 years of experience in high-quality client service, revenue generation, and strategic partnership building to our growing team of talented individuals.
A bit about Kevin
After earning his degree in Business Management, Kevin set out working in sales for the Walt Disney Company, building his solid foundation of service with an iconic brand. From there, he began to help smaller businesses grow, working with multiple Inc. 5000 companies to help them tap into revenue opportunities and create plans for their future growth. Eventually, Kevin moved to a human resources and culture consultancy role with a pool of clients, focusing in on his talent for building meaningful relationships and genuine company atmospheres.
As a true adventurer inside of work and out, Kevin is always down for a new activity in his spare time. He’s an avid traveler who loves sporting events, concerts, new restaurants, camping—you name it, Kevin will be there.
Kevin fits right into DVI culture in many ways, but one standout characteristic is the fact that he’s always loved the creative field. He even considered entering art school at one time! His lifelong love for the arts just reinforces our belief that he’s the perfect fit for DVI—a place where idea people and creative people drive real business results.
Kevin + DVI
"These aren’t transactions, but relationships that can span months or years, and that’s much more fulfilling, in my opinion.”
-Kevin Ford
As VP of Sales and Business Development, it’s Kevin’s job to explore new revenue opportunities, develop strategies for DVI’s future, and foster meaningful relationships with the companies DVI serves.
In fact, we never want to just do creative business as usual—we want real creative partnerships with all of our clients, and Kevin’s wealth of experience is a key part of that effort. “These aren’t transactions, but relationships that can span months or years,” Kevin says of his valued clients— “and that’s much more fulfilling, in my opinion.”
Another key aspect of Kevin’s role is strategic development and revenue growth. Since he’s worked with several Inc. 5000 companies on fast growth tracks, Kevin knows how to develop sustainable plans to continue growth in the long-term future. He’s dedicated to helping DVI grow the right way, using key partnerships and creative opportunities to forge ahead.
Kevin was especially excited to work with DVI, he says, because he knows that our people and our leadership are the real deal. He saw that our people are talented, our leadership invests in their people, we win awards, and we truly believe in what we do.
And our leadership is similarly excited to have Kevin on board. Matthew Lopes, our CEO, says, “I’m thrilled that Kevin—an experienced, supremely talented sales leader—is joining our team. As we celebrate DVI's 20th anniversary, we're more focused than ever on our growth game plan. Kevin and his team will focus on delivering new revenue opportunities, fostering stronger and deeper relationships with existing clients, and creating a sustainable strategy for DVI’s future growth. I can’t think of a better way to kick off our third decade in business.”
What Kevin’s doing during COVID-19
During this time of economic strain, Kevin is more determined than ever to help DVI clients with their business growth using the creative talents on the DVI team. He’s eager to show that we have creative solutions at the ready for every business out there—we’re all stronger together, and DVI is ready to use our familiarity with video and digital content to serve industries that have moved their marketing and communications online.
Since he’s only recently joined DVI, Kevin is placing a big focus on getting to know the team despite being socially distanced. Jumping right into video conferences with creative teams and strategy teams alike, Kevin has involved himself immediately in the DVI processes and family.
As Kevin says, “My job is basically to go out and tell the world about how awesome our team is and how we can help our clients . . . who wouldn’t want a job like that?”
Kevin is ready and excited to make a connection with you and your company. Email him at kford@thedvigroup.com or call him at 404.873.6283 x120—he’s always ready for a virtual cup of coffee or a quick chat!
