MicroCorp is a master agent for telecommunication representatives, providing reps with support and cloud-based content. MicroCorp also fosters relationships and contracts with powerful telecom providers like AT&T, Comcast, Verizon, and Zoom.
Dedicated to “partnering” with each rep in their network, MicroCorp makes their weekend training events fun and informative—including one of their most anticipated yearly conventions, One on One. But as COVID-19 swept the globe, MicroCorp knew their 17th annual One on One event had to continue on the digital frontier. They approached us to make it engaging despite the virtual format.

Some superpowered fun
We knew MicroCorp wanted fun content: senior leadership was open to superhero jokes based on their brand characters, and their theme for the event was “Power up and soar!” In reply, we recommended animated transitions featuring the brand superheroes, blending humor and professionalism as we wrote out visual gags and heroic actions for each mini-story.
Always flowing forward
We paid special attention to the final package, designing title cards and countdown transitions that would work to seamlessly combine elements of live-action video, animation, motion graphics, and webcam video.
Movie magic and on-stage energy
Live-action segments looked like real on-stage events with the addition of a custom-lit film set, multiple camera angles, a podium, and a textured backdrop.
For that 50s vibe world and superhero aesthetic… we took the MicroCorp color palette and gave it a noir feel with black shadows, dark silhouetted lighting, and an overall limited palette.
Animation that carried the show
Our animators storyboarded, drew, rigged, and animated over 20 bespoke transitions and two animated short films to round out the content.
The final project produced around two hours of content for MicroCorp to use in filling a six-hour schedule, allowing them to mix pre-recorded live content for two whole days of virtual conference.
