Case Study—
Holiday Inn
Brand Experience
Training Course
Holiday Inn is one of the world’s largest hotel chains with over 1,100 active hotels across the globe. It’s known for reasonable pricing and friendly service, in part because of team trainings that make quality service the standard.
The
Challenge
We had to develop an extensive training program for new Holiday Inn leadership, combining our experience in animation, filming, and instructional design to create an interactive e-learning platform. Since the whole program is for Holiday Inn eyes only, we’ve included the trailer below to give you a teaser of what we accomplished.
They were open, communicative, and transparent. The team was always willing to jump on quick calls in case there were last-minute changes or feedback. They gave suggestions along the way and invited us to think about the creative elements and the bigger picture.
Stories made for seeing
Storytelling is one of our strong suits—so why not use it to share key leadership insights from the Holiday Inn curriculum? We developed several short films to make the course exciting and impactful.
Logistics and locations
The centerpiece of our production process was a week-long shoot in a working Holiday Inn hotel, complete with a cast of over 20 kids and adults, several different scripts, and three different film crews working at the same time.
Learning in modular moments
We designed the final course in modules, each module represented with its own short film, animation and learning quizzes to keep trainee interest.
They were highly invested in our success. I’ve worked with other vendors in the past that were just order-takers. DVI took the time to make sure this program was well-thought-out and lasted us longer than average.
