Creme of Nature is a natural hair care company with devoted customers all across the U.S. They specialize in products that are simple and powerful with natural ingredients and formulations designed to strengthen hair.
The
Challenge
Creme of Nature's digital agency of record, The Wilder Agency, came to us with an idea for a stunning project that would showcase Black excellence and natural hairstyles. The Project would require us to work hand in hand with The Wilder Agency to enact their vision and bring many different women’s talents to life.
Coordinating timing and talent
For this visual poem, we needed to film several different women from all across the country. The project tested and tried our seamless project management, requiring us to design multiple setups, schedule appropriate shoot times, and coordinate the women’s arrivals on the big day.
Real woman with real stories
We knew this particular story called for an organic style, so we developed our camera work and direction to highlight what was important. We kept it simple, human, real. The focus was on the women and their personalities.
The
Outcome
The finished video was a creative triumph. It won two Addy Awards, won Best in Show at the MUSE Awards, and was a finalist for a Cannes Lion.
The
Reception
Creme of Nature was very pleased with the finished piece: it received millions of views and impressions, and its call to action—the hashtag #iamsupernatural—garnered thousands of uses on social media.
